Panel of Accreditation Reviewers

Seeking Additional CAHIIM Accreditation Reviewers

The Board of Commissioner and Staff continues to seek additional educator volunteers to serve on the CAHIIM Panel of Accreditation Reviewers. We need additional site visitors who are experienced with any of the academic levels: associate, baccalaureate, and master's, as well as experience with online education delivery. All candidates will undergo a telephone interview by CAHIIM Staff before final selections by the CAHIIM Board of Commissioners.

HIM Undergraduate Program Reviewer Requirements:

  1. Possesses at minimum, a master's degree;
  2. Three years or more of teaching experience in a CAHIIM Accredited Health Information Management program with appropriate professional credentials;
  3. Willing and able to travel to a minimum of two site visits yearly, and provide Standards compliance information to the CAHIIM Board of Commissioners and objective program assessment consultation within the review process.

HIM Master's Program Reviewer Requirements:

  1. Possesses at minimum, a master's degree;
  2. Three years or more of teaching experience;
  3. Willing and able to travel to a minimum of two site visits yearly, and provide Standards compliance information to the CAHIIM Board of Commissioners and objective program assessment consultation within the review process.

Health Informatics Program Reviewer Requirements:

As CAHIIM embarks on graduate level accreditation in HIM and Health informatics, doctoral level faculty experienced in teaching in these programs are also needed. Applicants are not required to have AHIMA professional credentials to serve as a reviewer for the health informatics graduate programs, but do need experience teaching in these programs and doctoral degrees are preferred.

Willing and able to travel to a minimum of two site visits yearly, and provide Standards compliance information to the CAHIIM Board of Commissioners and objective program assessment consultation within the review process.
