CAHIIM Accreditation for Cancer Registry Certificates

CAHIIM has over 10 years experience in program quality assurance for all programs it accredits.  Students who graduate from a CAHIIM-accredited program have the knowledge and skills to enhance their professions and meet the dynamic needs of the modern healthcare workplace.  Cancer Registry certificates can be stand-alone or incorporated within many different degree programs, such as Health Information Management and Health Informatics.

What does a Cancer Registrar do?

Cancer registrars are a vital component of the healthcare system, involved in the collection and evaluation of cancer data.  They have wide range of responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, obtaining information on patient history, diagnoses, treatment, and current status.
