Accreditation Actions
October 2019 Accreditation Action: Accept the Progress Report.
Rationale: The program is compliant with all Standards.
Accreditation Award: Continuing Accreditation.
March 2019 Accreditation Action: Grant ten years of Initial Accreditation with a Progress Report. The following Standards are Partially Met:
Standard 3. Program Mission. The purpose of an advisory board is to advise on program changes and direction. Changing a program mission without their input, if that is what happened begs the question about board involvement with the program and to what degree they advise the Program Director.
Standard 6. Annual Assessment. WEAVE adequately documents achievement relative to the goals set. Some of the goals have not been achieved year over year. This would benefit from an accompanying document that addresses what has been put into place when the stated goals and outcomes have not been achieved.
Standard 9. Program-Specific Curriculum. Standards are partially compliant until the changes have been fully implemented.
Standard 18. Advisory Committee. According to documentation provided, the program changed the program mission without consulting the Advisory Board. Yet the Advisory Board is charged with “informing the department regarding program design, program outcomes, student engagement, job preparedness, leadership, and industry trends.
