CIHIS-AI™ Capstone Evaluation
About the Course
This is a joint initiative between HWI and UpSkillz. Learn to validate AI-generated queries, optimize documentation workflows, and ensure clinical accuracy in an AI-augmented environment. To earn your Upskillz Certified in Health Information Systems and Artificial Intelligence (CIHIS-AI™) credential, you must submit your Capstone project for professional evaluation.
How It Works
1. Register: Provide your participant information through the form below.
2. Course: Review all course content materials.
3. Payment: A non-refundable evaluation fee of $125 is due at the time of Capstone submission.
4. Submit: Upload your completed Capstone project directly into CAHIIM’s secure system.
What to Expect
- Professional Review: Your project will be evaluated by Health Workforce Innovations (HWI) using the official scoring rubric and methodology.
- Timeline: You will receive your completed evaluation and results within 30 days of your submission and payment.
- Certification: Once HWI completes the evaluation, results are shared with Upskillz. Upskillz retains the final authority to issue your credential based on your performance.
About the Speaker
Sharon Easterling is a nationally recognized health information and revenue cycle executive with more than 20 years of experience spanning inpatient and outpatient coding, clinical documentation integrity (CDI), utilization review, denial management, compliance, and enterprise health information leadership. She has held executive-level roles within major integrated health systems, leading system-wide documentation improvement, audit defense, education strategy, and operational transformation initiatives across acute and ambulatory settings.
As Founder and CEO of Upskillz AI Advisors, Sharon specializes in responsible artificial intelligence integration within health information, CDI, and revenue cycle operations. Her work bridges operational strategy, AI governance, and workforce development—helping organizations translate AI into practical, workflow-aware applications grounded in compliance, data integrity, and professional judgment.
Sharon is the creator of two CAHIIM-accredited certifications:
- CIHIS-AI™ (Certified in Health Information & Artificial Intelligence Strategy) — an applied certification designed for HIM, CDI, coding, and revenue cycle professionals to evaluate AI use cases, design governance safeguards, build compliant workflows, and validate AI outputs responsibly.
- CIHIE-AI™ (Certified in Health Information & AI Education) — a complementary certification focused on preparing educators and academic leaders to integrate AI literacy, governance principles, and applied AI competencies into health information curricula.
