Development & Consultation Service
CAHIIM has developed an assistance and advising service for programs who are in various
stages of development and implementation. Paid services are available in developing
accreditation and compliance activities toward program improvement. CAHIIM staff consultants
have the expertise, competencies and provide comprehensive consulting proposals for our
clients. Staff have years of experience providing competent consultation, identifying challenges
or obstacles, and providing solutions.

Staff will work with you and your institution to reach the goal of achieving compliance with the CAHIIM Accreditation Standards for Accreditation and or curriculum requirements.
Within this pre-process stage, CAHIIM will provide managed guidance for making
improvements, advice and monitoring towards the progress for Candidacy Status requirements and application. This consultative period provides the opportunity for the developing program and institutional personnel to establish early communication and a relationship with CAHIIM.
To ensure a successful outcome in the accreditation process, program officials must commit the necessary leadership and necessary means to meet the minimum expectations for Standards compliance and also demonstrate a higher framework for continuous quality improvement once accreditation is achieved.
Consultation provides:
- Clear, in-depth explanation of the CAHIIM Accreditation Process.
- Advice on meeting requirements for Candidacy Application.
- Discuss the compliance issues, Accreditation Standards, policies, procedures and
practices. - Discuss future plans for the program.
