You’re Invited: An Educator Workshop.
Educators are invited to participate in the Applied AI for Health Information Educator Workshop. This workshop is designed to help you integrate practical, healthcare-focused AI education directly into your existing courses and professional development tracks.
Workshop Format
This is a 1.5-day immersive experience, delivered live via Zoom to allow for real-time collaboration and discussion. The session is interactive and includes time for questions focused on teaching, curriculum integration, pacing, and student assessment strategies.
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is ideal for faculty teaching HIM, coding, CDI, privacy, compliance, analytics, health administration, revenue cycle, and related courses. It is also appropriate for educators developing new AI or informatics content for their departments. No programming or technical background is required.

- How the ten (10) modules build the data, workflow, governance, and analytic foundations required for AI in healthcare
- How the curriculum prepares students to interpret AI-supported insights and participate in workflow or system build activities
- How the content aligns with CAHIIM expectations related to data structure, governance, quality, and emerging technologies

About the Speaker

Sharon Easterling is a nationally recognized health information and revenue cycle executive with more than 20 years of experience spanning inpatient and outpatient coding, clinical documentation integrity (CDI), utilization review, denial management, compliance, and enterprise health information leadership. She has held executive-level roles within major integrated health systems, leading system-wide documentation improvement, audit defense, education strategy, and operational transformation initiatives across acute and ambulatory settings.
As Founder and CEO of Upskillz AI Advisors, Sharon specializes in responsible artificial intelligence integration within health information, CDI, and revenue cycle operations. Her work bridges operational strategy, AI governance, and workforce development—helping organizations translate AI into practical, workflow-aware applications grounded in compliance, data integrity, and professional judgment.
Sharon is the creator of two CAHIIM-accredited certifications:
