The Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) sought public comment, from educators and industry professionals in digital health and related fields, on the proposed approval Standards and Competencies for two new certificates:
Digital Health Professional (undergraduate level)
Digital Health Leader (graduate level)
Competencies for both certificates were developed by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME).
The first public comment period took place
July 1 - July 31, 2021. The second public comment period took place
August 3 - August 16, 2021.
After a final revision, with consideration given to all public comments, the standards and competencies were approved by the CAHIIM Board of Directors.
